After last year’s fantastically successful visit to Ramsgate’s Summer Squall arts festival, we’re really pleased to be returning to Kent for another round of film screenings and fun. The line-up of films this year is superb, and we’ll be screening short films in twenty to thirty minute blocks. Highlights of the sea-themed programme include a short film about the journey of a plastic bag featuring Werner Herzog, world class animations for kids (and some for just the grown-ups!), short documentaries about deep-sea divers and beachcombers, some short films from some of the area’s best aspiring film-makers, and plenty more.
We will be outside the Royal Pavililon on Harbour Parade, CT11 8LP, on both Sunday and the Bank Holiday Monday, from 11am until 8pm. And of course there are tons of other events taking place over the three day weekend, almost all of them free, with music, theatre, talks and more – see the Ramsgate Arts website for more details.
